WCC Campus Bookstore Operations & Services


Whatcom students, faculty, and staff can order online or visit the campus bookstore in person to shop for course materials, supplies, or merchandise.


IN-STORE SHOPPING

We serve a limited number of customers at a time. Proper mask protection is required. Please be conscientious when others are waiting to shop. See store hours.


ONLINE SHOPPING

Orders for textbooks and course materials or for merchandise and supplies may be placed through the bookstore’s website: bookstore.whatcom.edu. Pickup (curbside or in-store) and shipping options are available.

FREE SHIPPING FOR TEXTBOOKS

Shipping is free this winter for required course materials ordered through the WCC Campus Store website. (FedEx Ground to contiguous U.S. only.) Use promo code MYBOOKS and shipping charges will be removed with payment.

WEB ORDER DETAILS

  1. Web orders will be processed as staffing permits. Orders are *normally processed in one to two business days. (See note above, processing can take longer during heavy ordering periods.)

  2. You will be emailed once your order is ready or contacted if there are any issues with your order. Orders are shipped via FedEx Ground Delivery, please contact them directly for estimated shipping times.

  3. For any orders not picked up by the third week of the quarter, the customer forfeits any returns or refund privileges and we will ship the order to the address associated with the order.

  4. When you pick up your materials you will be asked to show your student ID or state issued photo ID.

Curbside & In-store pickup

Pickup will be available during store hours at the pickup area of the store, behind the Syre Student Center.


You can drive to campus and enter the SW parking lot, either from the Cordata Parkway/Orca Lane entrance or from Eliza Ave. Come to the to the pickup area of the store, behind Syre. It is a brick building at the corner of the SW parking lot.


Upon reaching the bookstore pickup area, join the queue. If there is no one in line, please call us at 360-383-3435. If we don't answer, please call back. We may be on the phone momentarily with another student.


A bookstore employee will bring the order directly to your car and check your ID.


You can also approach the glass door at the front of the store. We serve a limited number of customers at a time in the store, masks are required. Please wait outside the store or in the Syre hall if we are serving other groups.


Book Buybacks

Students have an opportunity to sell back select textbooks to the bookstore. A book vendor will be on hand to determine which books can be sold and at what price. Bring your Orca card!


Though the college purchases all we can from students, purchase is based on demand and is never guaranteed. If you want to email us your ISBN numbers ahead of time, we'll share any information we can about which books may be salable.


Buyback service will be offered at the bookstore, curbside or walk up, details below. Dates and times for buy back will be posted on our store hours page. Students will need to show their Whatcom student identification, so bring your Orca card.


  • To participate in buyback bring your book(s) and Student ID to the Syre Student Center during scheduled buy back hours.

  • You can bring your books to the buy back agent. (We serve a limited number of students indoors at a time, masks required.) Or you can call us at 360-383-3435 from your car. A campus employee will collect your Student ID card and bring your book(s) in to be evaluated.

  • A book vendor will be on hand to determine which books can be sold and at what price. Though the college purchases all we can, purchase is based on demand and is never guaranteed. If you want to email us your ISBN numbers ahead of time, we will share any information we can about which books may be salable.


Rental Returns

Textbook rentals are due on, or before, the last day of the quarter by 4:00 pm.*


  • Rentals can be returned during store hours to the bookstore cashier or curbside from your car. You will need your student ID. For curbside, call us at 360-383-3435. We will take your books and ID inside, then return with your reciept.


  • Rentals can also be returned to the drive-up drop box located in front of the college’s Auxiliary Services Building (620 W. Kellogg Rd). Be sure to include student’s name, SID number, and phone or email where we can contact you, along with the name(s) of the book(s).


  • Rental returns may also be mailed to the bookstore (235 W. Kellogg Rd., Bellingham, WA 98226), but must include student’s name, SID number, and phone or email where we can contact you, along with the name(s) of the book(s). All mailed rental returns must be received at the bookstore by the Monday following the last day of the quarter.

*Rental returns not received by the due dates will result in auto charges to renter’s credit card for the full replacement value of the book(s).

Your Campus Store

We are the official bookstore for Whatcom Community College We offer textbooks and other class materials; office, school, and art supplies; Orca gear, gifts and memorabilia. You can also purchase stamps and discount movie tickets.

Our Mission

The Whatcom Community College Store is committed to exemplary customer service and providing the WCC community competitive prices on textbooks, and other relevant merchandise. We are here to provide information and class materials to students, as well as convenient on-campus purchasing for everyone at WCC.

 

The Campus Store is owned and operated by the college. All proceeds belong to the college and any profits gained go back to the school to support college programs.
